i saw that book the other day in a barnes & noble for the first time. if anything, it amazed me. "food rules" looks like a boiled down guide from pollan's book "in defense of food." i'm not sure if i'm saddened by the fact that it looks like pollan regurgitated material for sales, or that we're living in such a food-fearful world that someone, somewhere in his marketing department felt we needed a survival guide for our stomachs...
